Tons of companies providing all sorts of services and sales are offering referral rewards these days. It seems like every form I fill out has a line for “who may we thank for referring you to us?” They all know that word of mouth is often the best form of advertising.
Call any businesses that you are a regular or recent customer of and see if they have any offers for sending new customers their way.
Some of our old neighbors had a sign in their yard from having new windows installed. 6 months later they received a $50 check in the mail because someone driving down the road saw their new windows and signs and decided to get new ones themselves. Our neighbors don’t even know who it was! Our storage unit offered $20 off if you referred a new renter to them. Our cell phone has a similar discount. Many companies have these referral awards posted on their website. Many online businesses and websites that I use offer $5 for referrals. It’s worth taking a minute to check it out or make some calls.
