Kabongo is a new website with games to help your 4-7 yr old learn to read. This is normally $10 to use, but they are currently running a special where it is free to join. The site features 9 different challenging and auto-leveling games that advance at your child’s pace. I’m registering so that my 3 and a half year old can play. He loves Starfall, so I think he’ll really like this too.

Call around to resorts, especially new ones in the area that you’ll be visiting, and see what gifts they are offering if you attend a presentation. If you live in the Tyler area, October 2nd and 3rd are the annual phone book recycle days at the Caldwell Zoo. Bring an outdated phone book in to recycle and receive free admission for that day. You’ll need one phone book per guest. This would make a great outing for any age. The current hours are 9-4; 7 days a week.
