This week’s money making tip is to use EBATES and other Cashback shopping sites when doing your online shopping. There are many such sites out there. I have mentioned InboxDollars and MyPoints before. Both of these sites have a shopping section where they will give you cashback for shopping through their site. EBATES is another one that I have used. They offer $5.00 for signing up and making your first purchase within 3 months (so wait to sign up until you’re ready to shop).
One great thing about shopping sites like this is that you can buy things you would buy at a brick and mortar store but also get a small discount (in your cashback account) For example- I need to buy a high chair for DD. I have one picked out that both Target and Walmart carry in the store. If I don’t find one I like on craigslist in the next couple of weeks I’ll order it at Target through EBATES and have it shipped for free. I’ll have to wait a few extra days over just getting it at the store, but I’ll deposit 3% into my EBATES account. It’s super easy to do this with Walmart because of the free site to store shipping.
Other shopping sites that you might check out if you are a customer of these banks are DiscoverCard.com and USAA.com. I have used both of these as well. Each different shopping site will have a different selection of stores to choose from, as well as the standards.
