This Week’s Savings Review 9/18

I had a busy week this week and didn’t do as much shopping.  That’s about the best way I know of to save money, time, and sanity!  :-)
DS did keep asking when we were going to go to Walmart to see the pots though.  That boy can’t get enough of cooking!

Items that were Moneymakers, Free, or at least Half Price

Retail Price: $54.90      Price Paid: $9.10

Food/Household
CVS: spent $4.66, saved $43.03 = 90%, plus got back $3 in ECBs
Target: spent $11.20, saved $2.55 = 18%, plus got back $10 GC
Walgreens: spent $2.00, saved $4.00 = 67%
Walmart: spent $25.85, saved $13.71 = 21%
Brookshire’s: spent $10.33, saved $3.29 = 24%
Albertson’s: spent $8.74, saved $9.30= 52%
Food/Household Totals: spent $62.78, saved $75.88= 54%
Clothing: Starting this week I’m just going to include clothing in my household/grocery totals since it is part of the same budget anyway.  It will simplify things for me.

BTW – Our monthly budget for food, clothes, household items including diapers, newspapers and gifts is $400.
