Free Batteries, Plastic tubs, Coffee, Paper and more at Office Depot

I feel really silly for not thinking about it when I originally posted this- Don’t forgot to place your order through Ebates to get an additional 2% cash back.  Every little bit helps and this 2% would help defray your taxes.

This week Office Depot is running their special 100% rewards back promotion for WorkLife Rewards and Star Teacher members.  You need to sign up for the Worklife Rewards or the Star Teacher program to take advantage of this offer.  Click this link for a list of qualifying items and their item #s.  This promotion offers a full rebate on your purchase price in the form of an Office Depot gift card for the qualifying items.  You can buy 2 of each item per day for the rebate!  It’s a great way to get a LOT of not typically free items, but make sure you will have something worth spending that $ on at Office Depot when the rewards card comes.  The cards are issued at the end of the quarter, so rewards would be mailed for this promotion mid February and are good for 90 days.

I usually only order about $30 worth (I love my free plastic tubs) because I know this is all my family will buy in the store (2 ink cartridges) without . Be sure to enter your worklife rewards or star teacher # at checkout to get credit.  Even though we have a local store, I shop online and choose pick up at store.  This way I have no shipping costs, but I know the items are in stock when I go to the store with both kids in tow, plus they’re waiting for me at customer service.  If you live in an area without an Office Depot store, you can get free shipping with a $50 order.  If you select an item but it’s not in stock, call your local store and see when they will get a new shipment.  In June when they ran this promotion everything I wanted was out of stock early in the week, but they restocked before the promotion ended.  Offer ends 10/9/10.  I hope you find some things your family can use.

  1. Office Depot deals just keep getting sweeter. Hip2Save just posted a $10 off $25 instore here
    http://www.officedepot.com/speciallinks/us/od/docs/promo/4square.pdf

    My scenario is:

    3m address labels 23.99
    3 pack writing pads 4.99

    Total 28.98
    Minus $10/$25
    Minus $10 3M rebate
Minus 28.98 worklike rewards = $20 profit less sales tax and stamp!

  2. Unfortunately Office Depot says they’ll only give rewards for purchase price. It would still be a great way to get your $10 profit from the 3M rebate and have less OOP if you’re like me and don’t want to have a lot of $$ tied up in an Office Depot gift card.
