I Get Rewards For Playing Games Online

Just before last Christmas I joined GSN.COM because I love to play online games.  Since that time I have cashed in $25 of gift cards to Starbucks and Chick-fil-A.  I currently have enough to cash in another $20 but am waiting for a good gift card to come up.  Here’s how the GSN site works:

  • Oodles are the GSN currency that you can cash in for prices.
  • You earn oodles by:
    • answering trivia questions
    • making the leaderboards on select games
    • playing simple arcade games
  • There are about 50 free games to choose from 5 categories: Strategy Games, Word Games, Card Games, Arcade Games and Game Show Games.  My favorites are Wheel of Fortune, Diner Dash, Straws (like pipe dream), Deal or no Deal, Wizard’s Spell (similar to TextTwist) and pyramid solitaire.
  • When you want to cash in your oodles you visit the prize center to cash them in.  There are prizes to purchase and sweepstakes to enter. Gift Cards are harder to come by, but IMHO are the better deal.  There are no shipping charges and the prizes usually come within 2 weeks.  I have found that they usually update with new prizes and restock old ones just after 4 pm CST.   You can also bid oodles for gift cards and other prizes, but I prefer to just buy.

They add new games just about everyone month to keep it interesting.  I haven’t had much time to play in the past 3 months since my free time goes into the blog, but when I do take the time, I try to play my games on GSN so I get a little bit of extra $ to help with expenses around here.  If you like to play online games, it’s not a bad option.

Please note- there are “cash games” on GSN, which I never play.  I don’t see much point to spending money for the “chance” to win money unless it’s a contest that benefits a school or something like that.
