Food Swap – Kids instead of Cooking

Last week I shared with you how to hold a casserole swap.  Maybe you aren’t into casseroles, or don’t have enough freezer room for several dishes.  This idea may be for you.  Swap your kids for an afternoon while you do the cooking for both families.

Set a designated night of the week that you’ll join with another family for a meal.  When it’s your night to cook and host the meal send your kids to the other home.  You’ll have a kid free afternoon to cook, clean, and tidy up the house, while the other mom entertains your kids and doesn’t have to worry about dinner since you’re already cooking it.  Both families can enjoy a good visit over a meal and both Moms enjoy a nice change for the afternoon.

Check back next week for one more food swap idea.
