Savings Review 2/19

The household budget for our family is $500 a month and includes all
groceries, household products, clothing, gifts, decorations and
newspapers.  A little on the lean side?  Perhaps, but it works for our family.
Whether your number is $300 or $1000, you should do what works for your family.

We were on vacation at Big Cedar (my favorite place in the world) near Branson, MO this week. I scored some excellent deals at the outlet malls in Branson on Monday and was able to squeeze in a bit of shopping after we got back to Tyler.

Comments

  1. Looks like a good shopping week for being on vacation

  2. Can you explain all the money makers on the bottom (or link me to a post if you have already done so)? I’m on SWAGbucks but I don’t know how much I’ve made or if it’s worth it. For over a year I have about 531 SWAG points. I don’t seem to qualify for any of the surveys, etc. Thanks.

  3. Theresa- I always cash my swagbucks in for the $5 amazon card, so I take the $5 and divide by the 450 swagbucks it takes. That equals $.01111 cents per swagbuck. I do the same thing for each program I use to earn gift cards. This way I know if it’s worth my time. I never try for the Swagbucks surveys because many survey sites pay more for my time. I do occasionally watch swagTV. If you are doing the searches you would be doing anyway, I think it’s always worth it to use swagbucks. If you have their toolbar downloaded you should also be getting 1 sb each day that you open your browser- not to mention how easy it is to search from their search box on the toolbar. HTH!

  4. Wow, great job! I’ve never been to Branson, but if I ever go I will definitely check out the outlet malls. And I love how you’ve listed all your household goods and not just groceries. I love to see how people are saving on those things as well.

Thanks for linking up to Wednesday Weekly Shopping at Frugal Follies! See you next Wednesday!
