Savings Review 4/2

The household budget for our family is $500 a month and includes all
groceries, household products, clothing, gifts, decorations and
newspapers.  A little on the lean side?  Perhaps, but it works for our family.
Whether your number is $300 or $1000, you should do what works for your family.

spent $2.96, saved $61.83, grew ECBs by almost $8!

After the discovery that we would be getting a huge tax refund, plus around $300 extra each month due to correcting hubby’s W-4, I decided to take a bit of a shopping spree.  Nothing major, but I was able to buy several things that I have been wanting for the new house but haven’t bought the past 3 months while our home in NWA was sitting vacant.  It was nice to feel like I had some breathing room to buy some frivolous yet inexpensive items for the house.  :-) I also spent a chunk on material for a project that I’ll be posting about soon.
