Hi. It’s my first time to leave a comment.
Correct me if I’m wrong, for transaction #4, I think we’ll have to buy $10 worth of Suave products to get the $3 ECB. Perhaps we’ll have to add 2 Suave deos and use (2) $0.50/1 Qs for an OOP of $1.
I’m new at couponing. Thanks for all the match-ups, which are so very helpful.
Hi Missy, this is actually one of my favorite things about CVS. Your purchases for each deal do not have to be in the same transaction. I have 1 deo in Trans 2 and 1 deo in Trans 3. (I did this instead of throwing in something without an ECB reward just to absorb the overage of the ECBs I was redeeming)
Your receipt after Trans 2 will show something like “Suave: amount purchased $1, amount needed $9. “It’s very helpful when you only find part of what you want at one store and can the rest at another or after trucks come. This also how we find that some deals have higher limits than expected. Hope this will help as you do your shopping at CVS in the future!
Oh! Welcome to Thrifty Texas Penny, and please leave comments often Missy. I love to know that people are actually reading what I’m written
I often write with little ones underfoot so it’s not uncommon for there to be errors that need correcting
Oh, yes, yes, yes! I get it now. Haha! Now that’s what I need to work on, remembering that everything I need to get the ECBs don’t all have to be in the same transaction!
Thanks again…for the reply and the warm welcome! 😀
I never realized that you didn’t have to buy all the ECB qualifying purchases in one transaction!! That’s so great. I got stuck with a $10 ECB and have NO idea how I’m going to use it when I rarely have big purchases at CVS
It’s saved me many a time Mommy2Boys. I don’t use my calculator and my mind rounds that $4.99 up to $5 and I miss my ECB by a few cents. But, it tallies it and shows how much I have left to buy. They are so much more friendly that I just don’t stress about shopping there like I do at Wags. If you have the Revlon Qs, you could always buy nail polish and Stride to roll your ECBs. Of course you’d still have a large one, but at least you wouldn’t lost it or have to spend it on something that wouldn’t produce an ECB.
Hi, I’m Connie and this is my first time reading your blog. Thank You for all the helpful tips.
I’d like to know if you have a Scenario for spending 30 dollars on the products to get the 10 gas card?
If you have any Idea’s Please let me Know and Thanks again for all your hard Work..

Hi Connie, I didn’t see any spectacular deals for the $30/$10 gas card deal. I could write one up, but what concerns me about it, is the ad states “while supplies last”. I worry about people following a scenario to get the $10 gas card, only to find that they are all gone for the week. We also aren’t sure if the $30 is before coupons or after. I will try to talk with one of my managers this week to get more details on their supply and guarantees, and if I get a favorable response I will try to write one for next week’s ad (the deal is supposed to run for several weeks this summer) If you ever want a personalize scenario for something, just click on the personalized scenarios tab at the top of my page. Thanks!
