Savings Review 5/28

The household budget for our family is $500 a month and includes all groceries, household products, clothing, gifts, decorations and newspapers.
A little on the lean side? Perhaps, but it works for our family.
Whether your number is $300 or $1000, you should do what works for your
family.

What a nice week this was.  The only shopping I did was one teeny little purchase at Walgreens.  My husband did the rest!  We are getting low on milk and produce, so I will be hitting several stores soon.

Spending:
Brookshire’s spent: $19.91, saved $13.34
Lowes spent $13.36, saved $10.48 (charcoal and plants- home improvement is not in our $500 budget)
Walgreens spent $0.49, saved $9.49
Total Spent $33.76, Total Saved: $33.31

Money Made-
As of 5/14/2011, I’m
going to move my online rewards to a monthly report since it’s hit and miss
that I’m able to do these programs.  I do want to include it so that you
can see that these programs do work and that they are a viable means of
earning a little spending money.  Before I started blogging I would
earn about $10 a week for a couple hours of time with these programs.
Here are the programs that I use most often for rewards:

Money saved this week: $33.31   This means $42.71 of DH’s salary saved (click here to see how I get this amount)

  1. It’s always nice to just sit back and coast. That’s the beauty of a stockpile…which by the way you have inspired to reorganize. And before you ask, no, there will not be any before and after pictures. 😉
