Savings Review 7/30

The household budget for our family is $500 a month and includes all groceries, household products, diapers, health and beauty, clothing, gifts, decorations and newspapers.
A little on the lean side? Perhaps, but it works for our family.
Whether your number is $300 or $1000, you should do what works for your
family.

This week I made the final payment on our van, paying it off 20 months early.  I love knowing that once again our only debt is our mortgage- well 2 mortgages. :-) We’ve got some repairs to make on the house back in Arkansas and then I’ll start paying extra principal on that house again.  Baring any major issues we can easily pay that one off about 10 years early. (assuming we don’t sell it first)
