Dishing It Up Pasta Recipes – Angel Hair Pasta with Alfredo Garlic Shrimp and Broccoli

This post may contain affiliate links.

This has become a frequent dish at our house when we can find reasonably priced shrimp.  (I found it for $2.50 a lb. about 3 months ago and bought 6 lbs.) We still eat it every once in a while even when I don’t have reasonably priced shrimp, just to mix things up.  Angel Hair Pasta with Alfredo Garlic Shrimp and Broccoli

Ingredients
1 lb. shrimp peeled and deveined (we used frozen bagged shrimp because it’s economical)
12 oz angel hair pasta
3/4 jar alfredo sauce (you can also make your own sauce, but I found it to be more expensive and much more time consuming)
1/8 cup milk
1 TBS butter
3 tsp minced garlic
8 oz frozen broccoli

Directions
defrost shrimp
steam broccoli in the microwave
cook pasta on stove
saute shrimp with butter and garlic
mix milk with alfredo sauce (this thins it a bit to mix better with the pasta and helps to stretch your dollar)
combine pasta shrimp and broccoli in serving bowl and pour alfredo sauce on top.

  1. mmmm this sounds just like how I make it, except I use red/yellow bell peppers. i bet it would be really good with broccoli too!
