Recipe for My Mother-In-Law’s Chicken Corn Chowder

This is my mother-in-law’s recipe for Chicken Corn Chowder.  My husband loves her soups on chilly days.

Ingredients
6 slices of bacon, fried crisp
4 large chicken breasts
3/4 cup onion, chopped
1 cup celery, chopped
8 cups chicken broth
2 cans whole kernel corn drained
2 cans cream style corn
6 cups diced potatoes
2 cups heavy cream
2 Tbsp. parsley, chopped
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. white pepper (if you like a bit of a kick)
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (if you like a bit of a kick)

Directions:
Fry bacon crispy
Boil, de-boned and cube chicken
Saute onion and celery in 2 TBS of bacon grease.
Crumble bacon.
Add all other ingredients.
Cook over low heat until potatos are done, stirring often. (use a crock pot for 4-6 hours)
Add milk to reach desired consistency.
