Dishing It Up: Thanksgiving Side Dishes

Thanksgiving is 2 and a half weeks away.  It’s hard to believe since it’s been more warm than cool here in Texas.
If you haven’t noticed, my family tends to cook the same dishes over and over again.  Holidays are no different.  We fix the same thing for Thanksgiving every year: Turkey with crockpot dressing, cranberry apple jello, corn pudding, green bean casserole, candied sweet potatoes, crescent rolls and pecan pie. It’s the one time of year that we make the cranberry apple jello and the corn pudding and they are some of our favorites.  Now that I think about it I’m not sure why we don’t fix them more often!
I’m hoping we can share some Thanksgiving inspiration with these side dishes.  Who knows, I may even choose a new dish to try this year!
