Instead of doing a weekly savings review, I’m going to make an effort to post my drugstore shopping trips and show how I broke each transaction down. I think this will prove to be useful to more readers.
I had one transaction this afternoon:
4 Cokes @ 10
3 Ritz Crackers @ 7.50
subtotal $17.50
used $3/3 Ritz from 1/8 SS (this was a surprise find!)
use (2) $.99/1 Coke Zero printables (these didn’t scan the first time, so I asked her to try the other bar code and they scanned fine)
new total: $12.52
I will do one more transaction later this week after they restock: (My husband had taken my $10 GC and little $.75 ECB with him yesterday and I failed to put it back in my pouch)
Transaction 2
2 Coke @ 5
3 Ritz @ 7.50
subtotal: 12.50
use $3/3 Ritz from 1/8 SS
use $.75 ECB
use $8.75 on my GC
new total: $0.00, get $10 GC for buying $30 of select products
Total Product: $30.00 Total OOP 12.52. Start with $10 on a GC and $.75 in ECBs, end with $11.25 on a GC.
Love these – just no CVS here, so skip over them as much as possible & try not to drool too much!
