FREE "Do It Yourself" Frugal Living Class Saturday 4/28

200 years ago women did almost everything themselves.  Many families were practically self sufficient.  Of course they were also worn ragged by the end of each day.  That doesn’t mean that we can’t do anything for ourselves though.  There are many things we can easily make for ourselves with minimal time/effort. It just takes a little planning ahead.

Next Saturday April 28th, from 10 am – noonish, Kristan from Practically Virtuous, Julie from Pary Moppins, and I will bring you our best DIY recipes and ideas.  We save tons of $$$ every year with minimal effort with these things, and we hope you’ll find some things that you can use in your home too.  Some easy DIY items are:

  • laundry detergent
  • dishwasher detergent
  • baked beans
  • refridgerated cookie dough
  • homemade cleaners and wipes
  • cream of chicken etc. soups
  • vanilla extract
  • bisquick
  • flavored oatmeal packets
  • sour cream
  • tv dinners

That’s just a sampling of the ideas we have to share!  This will be a great class for sharing ideas, so feel free to bring your own recipes and make it yourself ideas. If you don’t live in Marshall, get a group of friends together for a short road trip. We’d love to meet you!

The class is free of charge, and childcare is provided by reservation only through Wednesday.  We’ll meet at Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Marshall (501 Indian Spring Rd.) at 10 am and finish up around noon. The classroom is at the back of the church at the covered portico. Hope to see you there!
