We got a late start yesterday morning (even for us) It was about 10:15 when we dropped Little One off at school, then we headed over to CVS.
Transaction 1
3 American Greetings Cards @ $2.97
2 Revlon Lipstick @ 12
1 Physicians Formula Concealer Stick @ 5.99
subtotal: $20.96
used (2) $1/1 Revlon
$5/2 Revlon scanner Q
$2 ECB
$8.49 ECB
$3.50 ECB (reduced to $3.47)
Total OOP = $0.00
I got a $3 ECB for the cards and a $4 ECB for Revlon. I was supposed to get a $7 ECB for the Physician’s Formula, but I didn’t have time to get it corrected yesterday. I tried to call customer service today but my phone wasn’t cooperating. I’ll borrow hubby’s phone when he gets home.
Transaction 2
1 Gallon Milk @ 3.29
used $3 ECB from cards
Total OOP = $0.29, got $1 ECB
After I get the $7 ECB corrected I will be down only $2 ECBs, so more like $2.29 OOP, but that’s cheaper than we usually pay for milk alone so I’m still a happy girl.
Our next stop was Super 1 Foods. Little Turkey was excited that the facelift to the front of the building is almost complete. We were both disappointed that there weren’t any $1 produce bags out though We have bought some neat foods from the reduced produce basket and Hubby and Turkey really enjoy cooking different foods than we normally eat.
Our best deal was the Creole Garlic Marinade jar on clearance for $.99. Hubby had bought one Saturday and found a $.55 Q inside. That made this one just $.44! The total spent yesterday at Super 1 was $12.96 with a savings of $8.60 or 40%.
Paired with the shopping Hubby and the kids did on Saturday we’ve spent about $46 this week. I’ll probably pick up another gallon of milk on Saturday and stop at Brookshire’s while I’m in Marshall where they double Qs!
