Walgreens Scenario 10/7 $22.09 for $1.62 OOP

Walgreens Rules in a Nutshell:
You may only do each deal once per transaction.
You cannot use the RR from one deal to pay for the same deal if you want to get another RR.
You may not use more manu Qs (including RRs) than the number of items in your transaction.
A RR cannot pay tax and it’s value will not be reduced.
When redeeming Balance Rewards points, new points will not be earned.
For a more in depth explanation of these rules, you can read my posts “How to Roll With Walgreens” and “Balance Rewards System“.

I didn’t write a Walgreens scenario last week, so we’ll be starting with the $2.50 RR from Crest that our scenario ended with 2 weeks ago.

Reader DropofRain found that the price of the Right Guard TD deos are higher, so I’ve reworked the scenario to remove those.  8:35 pm CST 10/8.

Transaction 1
1 Colgate @ 3.99
1 Peppermint (at the registers @ my store) @ .07
subtotal: $4.06
use 1/1 or $.75/1 Colgate from 9/30 SS
use $2.50 RR from 2 weeks ago
new total: $.56, get $3 RR

1 GM Multi Grain Cheerios @ 2.50
1 GM Golden Grahams @ 2.50

use $1/2 GM Cereals Oct. Wags IVC Q
use $3 RR from T1

new total: $1.58, get 1000 pts

Totals: $15.13 at sale prices for $2.14 OOP. (85% savings)  Start with $2.50 in RRs and end with 1000 pts.

  1. coupons you listed above are for Total Defense 5 products only, and they are $4.49. The ones that cost $2.99 are not TD 5 :-(

  2. I’m so sorry! Thanks for letting me know DropofRain. I’ll rework the scenario now.
