Where’s the Line to See Jesus?

Repost from Christmas season 2011.

I meant to get this posted for yesterday, but let’s just say that our projects for the kids kept us up until the wee hours of the morning yesterday and I didn’t spend much time on the computer as a result.  :-)  I’m not the least bit regretful though- they are loving their new things and we had a great family day together.  I’ll get a post together to share our projects with you this week.

I’ve posted before that our family doesn’t do gifts from Santa.  I don’t have anything against it, but we just choose for our family’s Christmas focus to be on Christ.  We don’t avoid Santa-we still watch Frosty and Rudolph and explain about Santa when we see him (he is unavoidable of course), but we keep our Christmas day about Christ instead.  When a reader sent me this story and video a couple of weeks ago, my thought was: What if one day all kids would want to get in line to see Jesus instead of to see Santa.  My prayer is for that to be the desire of my children.  I think the world would be a much happier place if we all were focused on Christ.  I encourage you to take a moment and watch/listen to this video about a little boy’s innocent question when he saw the Santa line in the mall:
