Clear the Clutter With Little Effort

Don’t want to spend tons of time clearing clutter out of your house? Me either, so I don’t- Spend tons of time that is. Here’s what I do:

I keep a box in the closet for unwanted items. When I come across something we can’t use anymore, I throw it in the box. When it’s full I start another one. When it’s yard sale time I already have my sale items collected. Years ago I would actually slap a price sticker on them before even throwing them into the box. Alas, I’m not quite as ambitious anymore :-)

Not a yard sale person? When the box is full put it in your trunk and drop off at your local goodwill store the next time you’re close by. I know several people who keep boxes of their kids’ outgrown clothing in their trunks so that when they see someone who can use them, the clothes are right there.

Either way, you’re clearing the clutter as you go along, so there’s no daunting project hanging over you.  How do you handle clutter at your house?
