Walgreens Rules in a Nutshell

You may only do each deal once per transaction.
You cannot use the RR from one deal to pay for the same deal if you want to get another RR.
You may not use more manu Qs (including RRs) than the number of items in your transaction.
A RR cannot pay tax and it’s value will not be reduced.

For a more in depth explanation of these rules, you can read my post “How to Roll With Walgreens

Sat. 10/23 @ 7:50 pm.  I found an error.  The Crest TP is 2/$6, get $2 RR, not $4 RR as I had originally.  I’ve updated the scenario to reflect that.  So sorry!

Transaction 1
2 Colgate Advanced TP 4 oz @ 6
2 Royal Gelatin @ 1.00
subtotal $7.00
use (2) $1/1 from All You Sept.or Fall Diabetes and You Magazine found near pharmacy usually
use in ad Q for Royal (takes off $.60)
use $3 RR from Suave
use $1 RR from Halls
new total: $.40, get $4 RR

Transaction 2
2 Crest Vivid or 3D White TP @ 6
1 Royal Gelatin @ .59
subtotal: $6.59
use (2) $1/1 Crest 3D from 9/25 SS or 10/2 PG

use in ad Q for Royal (takes off $.39)
use $4 RR from T1
new total: $0.20, get $2 RR

Transaction 3
2 Dentek Flossers @ 4
1 Royal Gelatin @ .59
subtotal: $4.59
use (2) .75/1 dentek from 10/23 SS
use in ad Q for royal (takes off $.39)
use $2 RR from T2
new total: $0.70, get $2 RR

Totals: $18.18 at sale prices for $1.30 OOP, a savings of 93%. Start with $4 in RRs and end with $2 in RRs.

Hi. I just have a question regarding Transaction 1. Are you saying we have to buy Suave first and Halls?

    Thanks

  2. Hi Donnainohio,
The Suave RR is from last week and the Halls RR is from the week before. To maximize your savings you want to take the RRs you have left from one week and “roll” them into the products the following week that will give you more RRs so that you keep a minimal OOP.

    Hi, I have a question:
When you say (trans.#1, line 1) buy 2 colgate …@6 does that @6 mean $6?

  4. Anonymous says:

Oops never mind- I missed the subtotal line. It’s $6 for both…got ya. Thanks.

  5. Hi anon, yes the colgates are $3 each.
