I had a couple of surprises this morning at Walgreens that changed my scenarios around. I found $1 peelies on the Complete Solution and also my store (323 and 110 in Tyler) had several items when you first come in the door priced for $.02! I bought two mini carabiner clips to use around the house for cheaper fillers than the pencils. In hindsight I should have bought the pencils for the school supply drives, but oh well, I can always get them tomorrow. My two transactions looked like this:
1st Transaction
bought the Complete Solution, crayolas and 2 carabiner clips for a total of $9.03.
Paid with (2) $4 RR, and $1 peelie on the solution
OOP $.03, got back $8 for the solution and $1 for the crayons
2nd Transaction
bought 2 newspapers (since we just moved here I’ve yet to build up my sources for free coupons), crayons, and the vitamins for a total of $17.
Paid with $1 vitamin Q, $8 RR, $4 RR, and $3.50 RR
OOP $.50, got back $10 for vitamins and $1 for crayons
And- I did this with both kids in tow and no mistakes – go me!
