You Say You Need More Money?

This post may contain affiliate links.

If you’ve got a debt to pay off, yes you’ll need money – no brainer. But otherwise, is it really money you need-or just something that’s worth money? We trade favors all the time, why not trade services and goods as well?  Trade yard mowing for babysitting, or music lessons for haircuts.  House cleaning, tutoring, yard cutting, cooking, babysitting, music lessons, sewing, hair cutting and picking a friend’s kids up from school every day are all services that could be {Read More}

Part Time Jobs

Need a part time job?  Here’s a site that could help in your search.  Just plug in your zip code at snagajob.com and it will show you jobs available in your area.  I love things like this where I can do my “hunting” from my couch.  It’s a great time saver. Snag a Job started in 2000, so it’s been around long enough to gain some good businesses.  Some jobs currently available in my zip code were Dairy Queen, Sears, {Read More}

$5 Dinners Week of 1/31 Average Cost $4.98

This post may contain affiliate links.

My goal is to provide dinner for my family for an average of $5 except on special occasions. We don’t have to eat beans and rice to accomplish this goal! We typically only cook a main dish 4 or 5 times a week. Each main dish cooked will serve 4-6, and the leftovers will be for easy dinners on the weekend, or to freeze for another week. This cuts down on cleaning, cooking, and meal planning- saving us lots of {Read More}

New $2.50 off Huggies and others

This post may contain affiliate links.

I noticed a few new Qs on Target.com this afternoon that may be of interest.  I’ve been so scatterbrained lately that the only one I’m positive is new is a $2.50 off Huggies Q.  This is for 48 ct or larger, so it will be valid on size 1 Snug and Dry Jumbo packs that sell for $8.99.  Mine expires 4/9! It’s a Target Q, so it would make a sweet deal when combined with a $1.50 manu Q.  Also {Read More}

2010 Savings Review Did I Stay Under Budget and Meet My Goals?

This post may contain affiliate links.

For 2010 Our monthly household budget was $400.  This includes all food, clothing, gifts, newspapers, cleaning supplies and home decor.  Considering all the categories that are included in this budget, I think this a modest budget.  From July 10 when I started tracking our spending until Dec. 31, we spent a total of $2664.87.  That’s an average of $444.15. Being $44.15 over budget each month again indicates I will need to adjust our budget to accommodate our new household of {Read More}
