For 2010 Our monthly household budget was $400.  This includes all food, clothing, gifts, newspapers, cleaning supplies and home decor.  Considering all the categories that are included in this budget, I think this a modest budget.  From July 10 when I started tracking our spending until Dec. 31, we spent a total of $2664.87.  That’s an average of $444.15.
