OK, so I completely blew my wishful thinking budget of $20 this week.  I hadn’t thought about the grocery store deals I had planned to get, or that I needed to pick up some chicken for dinners this past week.  I also had forgotten to include some gifts from the previous week so I’ve now nearly spent my household budget for the entire month – with 2 weeks left to go!  I’m just going to have to remember that I {Read More}

September 2010 Review

The household budget for our family is $400 a month and includes all groceries, household products, clothing, gifts and newspapers. While I’m still short on a few things in my stockpile, I think we’re pretty well covered. My biggest recurring expense is newspapers, so I am searching out other options besides paying $3 per Sunday paper for the Dallas Morning News at Walgreens (it’s over $4 to have it delivered).  Back in NWA I had 2 subscriptions delivered to our {Read More}

This was one of the busiest weeks I’ve had since we moved to Tyler. It’s a wonder that I made it to the store at all. I even let several 9/30 coupons for products that we actually use expire! I am reminding myself that I can only do so much though! Hopefully Hubby will be in town more this week and life won’t be as hectic. August Review

The household budget for our family is $400 a month and includes all groceries, household products, clothing and gifts. We were over this month, but I am not worried, as we had some unexpected money made that will balance this out. Also, I haven’t completely rebuilt my stockpile from the move to Tyler, so I’ve had to buy several things at higher prices than I normally would. Here are the totals for this month: Clothing spent $18.97, saved $37 = {Read More}
